The Empty Tomb Craft for Kids

The tomb of Jesus was likely carved into a stone wall to create a small cave lined with stone benches. A heavy stone was rolled in front of the opening, and sealed. Then, Roman soldiers were placed out front of the tomb to keep anyone from moving Jesus' body after his crucifixion.

The Jewish religious leaders took these precautions because they understood exactly what Jesus was saying when he told people he would be killed, then raised from the dead three days later.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is a true, historical event that proved Jesus is exactly who he taught us he is--the Son of God, and God the Son.
