Moses and the 10 Commandments Booklet Craft
One of the amazing aspects of the story of the Exodus in Scripture is that through their rescue and journey, God teaches his people who he is and how to worship him.
The story of the 10 Commandments of the Exodus is found in the book of Exodus chapter 20. God called Moses up onto Mount Sinai, where he gave him the Law for his people, the Israelites. The first four laws teach us how to relate to our holy God. The next six laws teach us how to treat the people God created. The Ten Commandments helped God teach a nation of his chosen people how to honor him. Today, we learn how to love God and love others from the Ten Commandments.
This fun booklet craft will help your children learn the 10 Commandments, in either the ESV or the KJV.
Why Did the Exodus Happen?
Learn all about God’s character through a major event in the history of Israel: the Exodus. God’s people had been in slavery in Egypt for hundreds of years. But God had promised their ancestors that the people of Israel would have their own land someday. So, they cried out to God and he heard them and rescued them. He used a shepherd and his brother to lead a nation of slaves in opposition to the most powerful ruler of the world’s most powerful kingdom.
What does the word holy mean? When we say an object, a person, or even a nation is holy, it means that it is set apart for--or dedicated to--God. But what does it mean to say that God is holy? God is perfect, righteous, and he never, ever sins. Revelation 4:8 tells us that in God's throne room, there are four living creatures who never stop saying, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"

"As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight." - Psalm 16:3, ESV
Christian History Matters for Our Kids.
History matters. Now, more than ever, we see how important it is for our children to know and understand history and the Bible. Here's why:
- God is the sovereign ruler of all things. It's important for our kids to see his hand in the history of nations and in the lives of both peasants and kings.
- Christian history is the story of our family history. Our kids get to see how people who love Jesus follow him.
- Understanding history can help our kids learn historic and biblical theology. They learn what the Bible says and what that means for us. They also see when the study of Scripture has taken important turns that have changed the Church.
- Reading Christian biographies and history can be a wonderful way for kids to think outside their own time and culture. God's Church spans centuries and includes people from every nation.
- Christian biographies help kids consider their own faith, walk with Jesus, and the impact their witness may one day have on others--and on history.
Elementary-aged kids need middle grade resources that are fun, a little sassy, and that teach valuable lessons.
The Who What Why Series is the perfect resource to teach your kids about history, while helping them apply biblical truths to their lives today.
