2 Peter 3:18 Verse Craft | Grow in the Grace and Knowledge of Jesus

In his second letter, Peter warns us to grow in Jesus, and to avoid false prophets and teachers.

Second Peter 3:18 is a wonderful verse for children to memorize as they think about growing in Jesus.

As you make this fun flower pot copywork craft, talk to your kids about what it means to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The best way for us to get to know Jesus better, and to avoid the false teachings of those who twist Scripture, is to read God's Word to us, the Bible!

2 Peter 3:18

As a family, read 2 Peter 3:13-18 before you begin your craft. 2 Peter 3:18, ESV, says:

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Your child can copy the first sentence in the verse on the copywork page in the version of your choice. As you make your craft, discuss:

• What does verse 13 tell us we are waiting for?
• What must we do while we are waiting?
• Some ignorant and unstable people twist the Scriptures.
  • How can we be careful not to be carried away with their error?
• How can you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

When we spend time in Scripture each day, learning the truth of God's Word, we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. The more we know God's Word, the less likely we are to be led astray by false teachers!
